The workers of different political parties, including JUI-F, JI, QWP, and progressive national parties on Friday held protest rallies and demonstrations against inflation, flour and sugar crises, unemployment and government's anti-masses policies.

Jamiate Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa workers staged protest demonstrations against inflation, corruption, flour and sugar crises and hike in electricity and gas tariffs in Peshawar and district headquarters across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In Peshawar, the JUI-F protest was spearheaded by Maulana Amanulalh Haqqani, Abdul Jalil Jan, Khalid Waqar Chamkani, Syed Rafeeq Shah, Atifur Rehman, Hussain Ahmad Madani, Dr Mehsud Gul, Syed Minhajuddin Bacha, Haroon Sifat, Ahmad Shoaib and others. In Peshawar, Pakhtunkhwa Jamhoori Ittehed (PJI), an alliance of progressive national parties under the banner of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) also took out a protest rally against increasing prices of essential commodities, flour and sugar crises, and hike in power and gas tariffs.
