As an ongoing feature of Pakistan Petroleum Limited's (PPL) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, a three-day free-of-cost surgical eye camp concluded at Taluka Headquarters Hospital, Kandhkot in District Kashmore, Sindh near PPL-operated Kandhkot Gas Field. Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital was the implementing partner.
The camp, which commenced on January 20, benefitted over 2100 locals who were provided consultation, treatment and medicines during the three days. Among these, 1200 patients were provided spectacles for near and distance vision while more than 160on-site cataract surgeries were performed. PPL regularly organizes eye camps around its producing assets in Balochistan, Sindh and Punjab.-PR
