Pakistani actress Meera has claimed Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi proposed her for marriage, however, she rejected his proposal because of 'family'.

In a recent chat show, the host asked her about the alleged rumour that Hashmi had once proposed her. She confirmed it and replied, “but my family…”, leaving viewers to think if her family didn’t allow her to marry the Bollywood actor, local media reported.

She went on to reveal that director Mahesh Bhatt also advised her to marry her ‘Nazar’ co-actor Ashmit Patel. Ashmit also briefly dated Pakistani actress Veena Malik in 2010.

News regarding Meera’s marriage has always grabbed headlines for all the wrong reasons. Last year, the fake marriage case involving Meera ruled in the favour of Attique-ur-Rehman, the businessman who claimed to be her husband. The court's decision means that Meera is still legally Rehman's wife.
