This virus crisis has certainly added pressure on slowing Chinese economy. The Wuhan coronavirus is rapidly spreading across Asia and rest of the world. China's President Xi Jinping has rightly described the outbreak of coronavirus as 'demon'. According to reports, at least 132 people are dead and more than 6,000 cases have been confirmed in mainland China. It is quite worrisome that scientists are still struggling to develop a vaccine to combat coronavirus. Several countries, including the US and Japan, have started flying out their citizens out of Wuhan.
The number of Pakistanis in Wuhan, the epicenter of coronavirus, is said to be around 600. According to Special Assistant to prime minister on health Dr Zafar Mirza, four Pakistani students in China have tested positive for coronavirus. I was therefore wondering whether Pakistani authorities are mulling flying out Pakistani citizens from Wuhan anytime soon.
