Mahira Khan, Mehwish Hayat might perform at ‘PSL 5’ opening ceremony

• It is expected that Mahira and Mehwish will be part of the opening ceremony along with Ali Azmat, Asim Azhar, Arif Lohar and Haroon.
• The ceremony, as per the tradition, will be held prior to the start of the tournament's first match on Feb 20.

The much-awaited Pakistan Super League (PSL) is back with its fifth season. This time Karachi will host the star-studded opening ceremony of PSL 5 and superstar Mahira Khan and Mehwish Hayat are likely to perform in the mega event.

According to media reports, it is expected that the Mahira and Mehwish will be part of the opening ceremony along with Ali Azmat, Asim Azhar, Arif Lohar and Haroon.

Recently, Ali, Asim, Arif Lohar and Haroon sung the official anthem of PSL 5. Though the song has majorly received negative response from the fans but they are likely to give the live performance on PSL 5 official anthem ‘Tayyar Hain’ on February 20.

The ceremony, as per the tradition, will be held prior to the start of the tournament's first match between defending champions Quetta Gladiators and two-time winners Islamabad United.

All players will not be present at the opening ceremony of the fifth edition of Pakistan Super League owing to hectic schedules and travel arrangements.
