The Arab League has rejected Trump's Mideast plan. What else the League had to do? How could this body of Arab states accord approval to President Trump's so-called peace plan when it does not meet the minimum rights of Palestinians? The plan is an open violation of international laws. In a statement after its meeting in Cairo, the League reportedly said it "rejects the US-Israeli 'deal of the century' considering that it does not meet the minimum rights and aspirations of Palestinian people."
It is, however, interesting to note that while Arab states, particularly Saudi Arabia, are in a perilous balancing act in response to Trump's 'peace plan,' the League has vowed not to cooperate with the US administration to implement this plan. The Arab League, therefore, deserves a lot of praise.
