The Chinese technology services company Timesaco, is eager to invest over $600 million in Pakistan’s public transport sector.

“The company intends to invest $600 million and this amount will increase with the scope of the business,” said Asad Ullah, Media Manager of Timesaco reported Arab News. The company official said that Timesaco intends to restore and restructure Pakistan’s public transportation system by replicating the Chinese model.

Last year, the Chinese company launched ‘Tatu Mobility’ a transportation infrastructure network in Pakistan to promote e-transportation sector business in the country.

The Founder and CEO of ‘Tatu Mobility’ Donald-Li said informed that ‘Tatu Mobility’ will provide Mobility Services to all public transports including individual, business corporations, merchants, private organizations, and government sector, like taxi-hailing, pick and drop, bus booking, vehicle rental and other related technology services.

The company now intends to bring this service into Karachi, and will meet the provincial government officials for this purpose, in coming days. “We are planning to launch the service in the third or fourth week of February 2020 in Karachi,” he said.

At the moment, the ‘Tatu Mobility’ service is available only in the cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The company provides different services like instant delivery, city freight, taxi service and help services.
