The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) on Thursday dispatched a 25-member security team to Rawalpindi for the monitoring and security surveillance of Pak-Bangladesh test series starting from today (Friday).
A PSCA spokesperson told Business Recorder that the team has installed CCTV cameras, equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) capability, around the designated spots of the stadium through which every spectator will be screened. Besides other officials, the team included technical staff and police communication officers (PCOs).
"Screening of ever spectator will be ensured with the consultation or assistance of Rawalpindi police and Pak Army," the spokesperson said. Deployment of its personnel at three entry and exist points was also under process as part of the Rawalpindi Safe City project. "We are taking necessary steps on emergency basis by keeping in view the recommendations of security forces and needs of the Rawalpindi police."
