In a bid to resolve the differences between ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and their allied political parties, the government's negotiating team is set to hold talks with estranged allies today (Monday). The sources privy to the development told Business Recorder that a joint meeting of the negotiation committees of the ruling PTI will resume the stalled talks process with disgruntled allies from where the previous committee had left.
Defence Minister Pervez Khattak along with Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar will hold talks with coalition partners including Pakistan Muslim League-Q , Muttahida Qaumi Movement-P and Grand Democratic Alliance, and once again deliberate upon the already settled matters with them by the previous negotiations committee.
The sources said that the demand of allies was not unfair that already agreed matters should not be re-opened, but in a bid to end the deadlock the government wants to discuss the matters in a bid to settle them once and for all.
"Talks will be held with the coalition partners on the already agreed procedure. The constitution of new committees was the decision of the Prime Minister [Imran Khan] and the matter would be resolved within a week," said a senior PTI leader.
