Hundreds of Railways retired employees and widows were running from pillar to post to get their legitimate dues including pensions for the last one year. This was stated by Central Vice President, Pakistan Railways Mazdoor Union, Muqaddar Zaman in a statement on Monday.
Zaman urged the Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad to resolve the issue on a priority basis, saying the inflation-hit retired PR employees are facing hardships to meet their household and medical expenditures.
Hundreds of pensioners are waiting for the release of their pensions, gratuity fund, marriage allowance, GP fund and other dues are pending with railways for the last one year. He asked Railways Minister to work for the uplift of PR's labors besides improving the all our performance of the department.
