On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,174. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.863 billion and the number of lots traded was 6,707.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 1.960 billion, followed by Silver PKR 652.516 million, NSDQ100 PKR 513.693 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 419.916 million, Crude Oil PKR 418.411 million, Platinum PKR 260.257 million, DJ PKR 238.484 million, Palladium PKR 203.512 million, Natural Gas PKR 59.637 million, SP500 PKR. 55.667 million, Japan Equity PKR 36.656 million, Copper PKR 35.578 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 8.558 million.
In agriculture commodities 4 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 17.251 million and 5 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 7.299 million were traded.
