Daroo sends legal notice to FPCCI president, S-G
The controversy on nomination for the President of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry is likely to land in court as the key affectee, former President FPCCI, Daroo Khan has sent a legal notice to incumbent President FPCCI, Anjum Nisar and Secretary-General Dr Iqbal Thaheem for dropping his name.
In his notice he states that he is surprised and astonished on the illegal and unwarranted stand taken by the incumbent FPCCI President and Secretary General in letters written to the SAARCCCI authorities.
According to the legal notice, the law firm states, among other things, that the entire correspondence/communication regarding the change in nomination of office bearers for the Executive Committee and General Assembly of SAARCCC for the upcoming term of 2020-2021 made by them, is in "sheer violation" of Article 16 and 18 of the Approved Constitution of SAARC Chambers of Commerce & Industry. Hence, the letter stands void ab-initio in the eyes of law.
