Prince Thumbu Muzi Dlamini, son-in-law of Nelson Mandela has said that honorary Consulate of Swaziland to be established in Islamabad very soon. He was speaking at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Prince Magudvulela, Senator in Swaziland Parliament also spoke on the occasion. He said there is a dire need to enhance trade volume between Pakistan and whole South Africa.

He said that infrastructural development in Pakistan is very much impressive and Pakistani companies can avail huge opportunities available in Swaziland. He said that governments of both countries should take immediately start direct flights to facilitate the business community.

Speaking on the occasion, Senator of Swaziland Parliament Magudvulela said there is a need to upscale trade between Pakistan and Swaziland. He also said that both countries have their own strengths. Swaziland has a majority of Muslim community and the people have unique culture. He said that there should be exchange of cultural activities among the both countries. LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said that the Lahore Chamber has always taken keen interest in developing close liaison with important personalities like you to improve the ties between Pakistan and Swaziland. Swaziland is a small, landlocked country in Southern Africa. Pakistan has a wide range of exports items and we can easily cater the needs of Swaziland's market.

He said that we can achieve quick results if there is regular interaction among the representatives of private sectors.

He said that for enhancing the trade between Pakistan and Swaziland, there is a tremendous potential for Swaziland to import textile items, leather goods, food products (especially rice & meat), sports goods and light engineering equipment etc from Pakistan.

He informed the honorable guests that LCCI delegation visited Mauritius, South Africa and Swaziland in May 2017 and had meetings with Prime Minister and Cabinet Members of Swaziland and LCCI is planning to take a delegation to visit major countries of Africa in coming months.

LCCI is especially focusing on African Continent to explore new markets for Pakistani exports, he added.
