National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has said that people of Pakistan are grateful to President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his support on Kashmir issue.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri received Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan upon arrival at the Parliament House here on Friday. After the reception, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met the NA speaker in the Parliament House before his address to the Joint Session of the Parliament.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri were also present during the meeting. The National Assembly speaker, while talking to the Turkish president, said Pakistan cherished its fraternal relations with Turkey, which were intertwined in religious, and historic cultural and brotherly ties. He said people of Pakistan were thankful to the resolute support of President Erdogan on the Kashmir issue.
Qaiser said bilateral relations between both the countries had witnessed progress due to enhanced cooperation in multilateral spheres. He expressed his optimism that the current visit of President Erdogan would further reinforce the bilateral relations. The speaker said it was indeed an honour for the parliament to be addressed by a leader of stature from a brotherly country.
