PML-N terms NAB's raids on Sharif family's business offices 'illegal'
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has slammed the "illegal" raids conducted by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Sharif family's private business offices in Lahore.
"The NAB-Niazi tag team has started working overtime to distract attention and hide the wheat and sugar theft by Jahangir Tareen and Khusro Bakhtiyar. This Imran-led mafia is such ruthless looters that they did not even spare the poor people's wheat and sugar," said Marriyum Aurangzeb, PML-N secretary-information in a statement on Saturday.
"These raids on Sharif family's private business offices is a ploy to burry the inquiry report this Imran mafia is trying to hide from the people. Why isn't the NAB-Niazi tag-team raiding hoarding hideouts and Mills of Jahangir Tareen and Khusro Bakhtiyar, he will definitely find out how were those Land Cruisers bought and who runs the budget of Bani Gala," Marriyum maintained.
She said, "Imran and his corrupt government's tools of political victimization must now tell the nation what was recovered in these raids on Sharif family's private business offices. And then also brief the nation as to why were Jahangir Tareen and Khusro Bakhtiyar's mills not raided."
Marriyum said that all these tactics would not hide the incompetence of this 'failed' government, adding that it cannot hide the truth about selling the country out to the IMF and the failures at the monetary fund's deal.
"Such harassing political victimization has been going on for the past 18 months now but every time the court asks for proof and the NAB runs for the door shamelessly," she maintained.
"These raids on 91-F Model Town and 55-K Model Town offices are a testament of the frustration and desperation of Imran Khan for another failed diversion to hide his nose-diving regime, but the PML-N and the Pakistani nation will not grant the mafia any NRO," Marriyum added.
