Livestock Farmers' Welfare Association, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and events' organiser Land Mark Communications signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for organising Dairy & Livestock Expo 2020 in Peshawar. The MoU was signed by the Livestock Farmers' Welfare Association KP, Asif Awan and Ali Hamdani of the Land Mark Communications on behalf of their respective organisations. The expo will be held in first week of November 2020.
The MoU signing ceremony was organised in a local hotel that was jointly organised under the auspices of both organisations. On this occasion, Director Livestock District Peshawar, Dr Masoom Ali Shah appreciated the efforts of both organisations for the welfare of the livestock farmers.
Addressing the ceremony, the chief guest, former MPA, Zakir Shah expressed satisfaction over the efforts made by the association for the welfare of the dairy farmers.
Dr Aleem Dar highlighting the aims and objectives of the Land Mark Communications said that as compared to Punjab, Sindh is not holding any livestock expo show, but from 2018, they had introduced first programme on Veterinary Education in February 2020 and joined hands with dairy farmers to make joint investment in the sector and also held capacity building trainings for the farmers.
Addressing the ceremony, president, Livestock Dairy Farmers' Association, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Kamal Ahmad said that the first Livestock Expo organised in Swat on the request of KP Minister for Livestock resulted in loss, despite, commitment, he failed to honour his pledge.
The Chief Executive, Land Mark Communications, Syed Ali Hamdani appreciated the unity of dairy farmers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and vowed to organised the Livestock Expo 2020 without expectations from the government.
