Swabi win overall trophy of Swabi Inter-Tehsil Games

Tehsil Swabi clinched the overall trophy after winning three gold medals, one silver medals while tehsil Topi with two gold medals and Rajarr with one gold medal took second and third positions respectively in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Swabi District Inter-Tehsil Games.

In the semi-finals of the Tug of War, Swabi Tehsil defeated Chotta Lahore Tehsil by 2-0. Earlier in the second semi-finals, Topi defeated Tehsil Rajarr and qualified for the final. In the final Swabi defeated Topi by 2-0. In the Kabaddi final Swabi defeated Chotta Lahore by 3-1 in a thrilling match. The score was 25-23, 25-2, 23-25, 25-20.

Swabi Tehsil defeated Topi in the Tug of War in the final. In the Kabaddi final, Swabi Tehsil defeated Chota Lahore Tehsil by 30-27 to take first position. In the semi-final Volleyball Swabi defeated Topi Tehsil by 25-23, 25-22, 23-25 and 25-22 and in the other semi-final Chotta Lahore recorded victory against Rajarr. It was in the final when Swabi recorded victory against Chotta Lahore.

In the badminton final Swabi overpowered against Topi by 3-1 while in the football Swabi recorded victory against Topi by 2-1.

District Sports Officer, Mohammad Tariq Khan gave away trophies and cash prizes. The winner was awarded Rs. 20,000 and runners-up got Rs. 15000. He also assured the players that tough teams would be selected and hopefully good result would come up. He said all out facilities would be provided to the players.
