On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,238. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.194 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,976.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.960 billion, followed by crude oil PKR 826.054 million, NSDQ100 PKR 638.747 million, silver PKR 593.001 million, currencies through COTS PKR 511.189 million, DJ PKR 193.796 million, platinum PKR 163.177 million, palladium PKR 153.853 million, SP500 PKR. 55.084 million, natural gas PKR 47.492 million, copper PKR 41.048 million and Brent crude oil PKR 11.485 million.
In agriculture commodities 6 lots of wheat amounting to PKR 25.904 million, 9 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 19.021 million and two lots of soybean amounting to PKR 13.822 million were traded.
