National Sports City-Narowal: NA body suggests resumption of construction work
National Assembly Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination has recommended that the construction work of National Sports City at Narowal should be started without any further delay and invited representatives of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the next meeting in this regard.
The committee met with Agha Hassan Baloch in the chair at the Parliament House on Friday. The committee took notice of the presence of Indian artists in the opening ceremony of Pakistan Super League (PSL-V). The committee recommended that the PCB should invite the members of the Standing Committee in the events organized by the PCB in future in Pakistan.
The committee also scrutinized the budgetary proposals relating to Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) of the IPC and its attached departments for the financial year 2020-2021 in detail and approved the proposed projects by the committee unanimously.
Agha Hassan Baloch, chairman Standing Committee on IPC, directed that the ministry may include sports-related development schemes of Balochistan in the proposed PSDP for the financial year 2020-2021 and ensure their completion within the given timeframe.
The discussion on the question moved by Dr Mahreen Razzaq Bhutto, MNA, regarding the annual income and expenditure of the PCB for the last three years was deferred due to the opening ceremony of PSL-V on the request of chairman PCB, with the direction to ensure his presence in the next meeting.
