On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,121. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.289 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,864.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 4.575 billion, followed by NSDQ100 PKR 2.072 billion, DJ PKR 764.148 million, silver PKR 692.063 million, crude oil PKR 641.117 million, platinum PKR 529.538 million, currencies through COTS PKR 512.079 million, natural gas PKR 177.653 million, copper PKR 139.502 million, SP500 PKR 83.449 million, palladium PKR 79.913 million, Japan equities PKR 13.956 million and Brent crude oil PKR 7.767 million.
In agriculture commodities 8 lots of corn amounting to PKR 23.173 million and 11 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 14.985 million were traded.
