Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday criticised the PTI government for 'growing' unemployment in the country, saying that economy is 'sinking'.
Addressing the crowd during Aaeen-e-Tahfa Pakistan rally, he said that the government razed people's houses in the name of removing encroachments, besides let 2.5 million youth go jobless. He said that 'foreign agents' have been imposed on the nation, adding that if the government distorted the country's very culture, the JUI-F will resist the move at any cost.
"Factories are closing, people are being turned homeless, youth is getting jobless and obscenity and vulgarity being promoted," Maulana claimed and added, "We will not let the selected and inefficient government deface the country's identity." He said that the youth was deceived into giving jobs, adding that the world is watching how the country is going to become insolvent sooner or later.
He claimed that Afghanistan which was willing to be a part of the CEPC is tired of Pakistan while China and Iran are also moving away from us. He said that the weak economy of Pakistan and inefficient government is responsible for atrocities on Muslims in India.
"Homes of Muslims are being burnt in India because weak economy of Pakistan and inefficient government as Modi knows that Pakistan cannot protect Indian Muslims," Fazl was of the view.
"Pakistan is undergoing its worst ever period," Chief of Pakhtunkhwa Mili Awami Party, Mehmood Khan Achackzai asserted, saying that "inflation is on the rise" with lawlessness in the country. He vowed to defend the country's constitution, saying that "it is the constitution of 200 million people".
Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan, Shah Owais Noorani said that "Our mandate was stolen". He said that the sugar, flour, electricity and gas are made rare, and alleged the PTI's leader, Jahangir Tareen for the shortage of daily essential items.
