President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sardar Masood Khan, has said that the Indian government is hurling allegations against Pakistan in a bid to divert international attention from the deteriorating internal situation following abrogation of Article 370 and promulgation of The Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's extremist policies have set entire India on fire and Modi in a bid to suppress the ongoing protests in India is on the one hand is using brutal force and on the other is trying to blame Pakistan for everything wrong happening in India, he said.
Masood Khan expressed these views during a grand reception in honour of President Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK Raja Fahim Kayani hosted by Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement. President Masood said that the passion and how Raja Fahim Kayani and his team were continuing and contributing to Kashmir freedom movement in the UK and Europe was praiseworthy.
Khan further said that the Indian Army could not compete with the unarmed Kashmiris, how it could fight a war with brave soldiers of Pakistan Army. If India tries any aggression against Pakistan, it will result in a disastrous defeat and the land of Azad Kashmir will be made a graveyard of Indian soldiers.
While lauding the services of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leadership, Masood said that over the past 30 years the APHC leadership had faced Indian brutalities and remained steadfast. He also hailed the APHC leader Altaf Ahmed Bhat's services for highlighting the Kashmir issue on local and global forums.
Masood Khan said that during the recent visit US President Donald Trump repeatedly mentioned Pakistan in his address, which inflicted great pain to Modi and his extremist terrorists. He said that the whole nation should remain ready and prepare to counter any Indian aggression.
Parliamentary leader of Jamaat-e-Islami AJK, Abdul Rashid Turabi, Hurriyat leader Altaf Ahmad Bhat, President Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK Raja Fahim Kayani, President Tehreek-e-Kashmir Scotland Hanif Raja, President Tehreek-e-Kashmir Italy Mehmood Sharif, Hurriyat leader Sheikh Abdul Mateen, and Maulana Saeed Yousuf also addressed the gathering.
Abdul Rasheed Turabi, during his address, while emphasizing the need to highlight human rights violations by Indian occupational forces in held Kashmir, said that all the Pakistanis and Kashmirs abroad must follow Raja Fahim Kayani and his colleagues in this regard.
They have organized successful protests, seminars, conferences in British parliaments and at various councils of the United Kingdom and Europe. Turabi added that, Kashmiris struggle for freedom, and their sacrifices demand that Kashmir must be liberated from India as per the resolutions of the United Nations. Without the solution to Kashmir, there can never be peace in the region.
Kashmir is a flashpoint, which the world has recognized, and it is high time Kashmir dispute is resolved as per Kashmiris' aspirations and the UNSC resolutions. President of Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Altaf Ahmed Bhat said that Raja Fahim had done great service to the cause of freedom of Kashmir on which "we pay tribute to him deeply".
Bhat further said that Kashmiris would continue their struggle till independence was achieved. Bhat called upon the international community to resolve the Kashmir issue as per the aspirations of Kashmiris. Pakistan has always supported Kashmir, and will continue this support until liberation.
