Exporters have decided to file complaints against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) with the Pakistan Citizen's Portal for non-payment of pending sales tax refunds and system failure of the FBR.
According to a letter of the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA) to its members issued here on Friday, the association has strongly taken up the matter of pending refunds of sales tax claims to the government, and has been regularly coordinating with the FBR for immediate payment of refunds as per the relevant laws and rules.
Various members have approached the PHMA informing that their production has been stopped due to liquidity and cash flow withheld with the FBR.
Therefore, to further emphasize the matter to the prime minister and assert upon the FBR, the association strongly recommends the members to also register their complaints at the Pakistan Citizen's Portal and to the Prime Minister's Performance Delivery Unit (PMDU) at pmdu@pmo .gov.pk.
