Russia's finance ministry is expected to cut its purchases of foreign currency for state reserves in March, a Reuters survey showed on Monday.
The finance ministry is set to announce its purchasing plan for the month ahead on Wednesday at 0900 GMT.
The median forecast from a survey of nine analysts suggested Russia would buy 170 billion roubles ($2.56 billion) worth of foreign exchange in regular purchases on the open market from March 6 to April 6. Individual forecasts ranged from 50 billion roubles to 200 billion roubles.
