Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Appraisement West has missed its revenue target by 42 percent with the collection of Rs 156.4 billion during July to February 2020 period. According to details, the department has collected Rs 156.4 billion as against the target of Rs 267.9 billion during this period, declining by 42 percent.
Similarly, the collection made on account of customs duty, income tax and Federal Excise Duty also showed 24 percent, 18 percent and 59 percent decline during this period. Moreover, the revenue collection for the month of February remained 43 percent short against the target of Rs 31.85 billion. The Appraisement West Collectorate has only witnessed 8 percent growth in sales tax collection. However, the collection of Rs 6.18 billion as customs duty, Rs 2.63 billion as income tax and Rs 49 million as federal excise duty depicted 24 percent, 15 percent and 36 percent decline.
