 KARACHI: Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination, Mian Raza Rabbani, called on Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, at the CM House here on Saturday.

Federal Minister for Petroleum, Syed Naveed Qamar, was also present. An official statement said that inter-provincial affairs in the aftermath of adoption of 18th Constitutional Amendment, came up for discussion at the meeting besides devolution of power from centre to the provinces.

The situation in the aftermath of devolution of ministries from centre to the provinces, was also discussed.

It was resolved at the meeting that the provincial autonomy attained by the provinces following the adoption of 18th Amendment, would be fully implemented.

The ministries earlier enumerated under the concurrent list would be devolved to the provinces by June 30 this year.

Five ministries have already been devolved to the provinces and another five would be devolved by this month.

The Sindh Chief Minister also discussed the matter pertaining to shortage of water in rivers and said that a couple of districts in the province were facing water shortage.

Sindh Law Minister, Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, Sindh Finance Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, were also present during the meeting.
