The Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI) Peshawar organised an event at premises of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry to mark the International Women's Day here on Sunday, in which women entrepreneurs in large number were participated.
Zile Humma, member of the National Assembly, MNA was chief guest at the event. Besides, the WCCI Peshawar President, Rukhsana Nadir, Member provincial assembly Rabia Basri, Female DSP Headquarter Roziya, Radio Pakistan Station Director Syeda Iffat Jabbar, eminent poets, Bushra Furrakh, Shahida Mazhar, Dr Shahida Perveen, First Women Bank representative Zile Janaat, WCCI senior member Nasreen Khan, Shama Sajjid, Misha Javed, Azra Perveen, women participants in large number in attendance on the occasion.
Rukhsana Nadir, while speaking on the occasion said that the observance of the International Women's Day, an old tradition and historic day, which reminds us to highlight women issues, particularly violence against women in the society. She went on to say that Islam gave due respect and status to women despite that women didn't give due status in rest of the world for which they have deserved so.
Zile Humma, addressing as chief guest at the event she said, being a mother, had lost many things for better growth and nutrition of her children but she had never loss temperament and remained steadfast at any situation.
