Pakistani citizen dies of coronavirus in Italy

• A total of 631 people have died from the virus in Italy.

A Pakistani citizen has died after contracting the novel coronavirus in Italy, which has 10,149 confirmed cases of the virus. 

According to media reports, a 65-year-old Pakistani citizen who lived in Milan dies of the virus. The governments of Pakistan and Italy are in touch with each other regarding the return of the citizen.

In Italy, more than 60 million people have been put on lockdown as movements in and out of cities are severely restricted. The government has urged residents to not leave their homes unless going to work, to visit a doctor or for necessary grocery items.

Religious ceremonies including funerals and weddings have also been postponed under the lockdown.
