Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Ahmad Sheikh on Wednesday said that the federal government has agreed to address the reservations of the Sindh government regarding alternative energy policy.
This assurance came from the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum Nadeem Babar at a meeting held in Sindh Energy Department office.
Babar discussed in detail about the reservations of Sindh government on the draft of proposed alternate renewable energy policy which is being under compilation by the federal government.
Babar agreed to rectify most of the reservations of Sindh province, in the final draft of the Policy.
It is to mention here that Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has raised reservations on the proposed draft of alternate renewable energy policy in the last meeting of Council of Common Interest (CCI), which was held in Islamabad.
Nadeem Babar said that the genuine reservations of Sindh government would be addressed. He said that he would present a detailed report about today's discussion to the Federal Government.
Chief Executive officer Alternate Energy Development Board Power Division Rana Abdul Jabbar, and Secretary Energy Sindh Musaddiq Ahmed Khan were also present in the meeting.
