Apropos a news report titled 'TI-P accuses KE of sending exaggerated bills to consumers', K-Electric (KE) reiterates that the power utility is a law abiding entity that strictly adheres to all rules and regulations.
"The story is based on a wrongly built perception that a report had been sought by Nepra from KE over the alleged claim/accusation of "exaggerated billing" by TI-P. In fact, KE has not received any letter from NEPRA for submission of report in this regard.
"The story also mentioned that KE has resorted to 'massive overbilling' without any justification and notification w.r.t. fuel adjustment charges from January 2020 which is a flawed claim as the said charges are being billed after approval of Nepra vide issuance of SRO 161 (1)/2019".
