The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has suspended all sports activities including table tennis, squash, karate, gymnastic and closed down the women fitness gym at Qayyum Sports' Complex as precautionary measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
According to a notification issued by the Directorate of Sports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa all sports related activities have been suspended in Qayyum Stadium, Peshawar and across the province.
The routine sports facilities including table tennis academy, badminton, volleyball, squash, karate, twaekando, and gymnastic and women fitness gym in the stadium have been locked since Saturday (March 14, 2020) and no one is allowed to enter the facility.
Similarly, sports activities and the process of the daily-based practice of players and such activities in the sports complexes of various districts including Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat, Abbottabad, Haripur and Mardan have been stopped.
