After the National Security Committee's meeting on Friday, the Punjab government has issued directions that all prisoners must maintain a distance of 1-metre. All personnel in jail must be provided with complete personal protective equipment. Further, ban has also been imposed on meeting with prisoners in jails for the next three weeks. Inmates over forty years of age and with weak immunity will be kept separate from others.
