Provincial Law Minister Raja Basharat on Saturday called on the Lahore High Court Chief Justice Mamun Rashid Sheikh and took him in confidence for not producing the prisoners before the courts.
The Law Minister also apprised the chief justice about the details of decision for banning public and family meetings with the prisoners. Raja Basharat also told the chief justice about the steps taken by the Punjab government to protect the masses from Coronavirus.
He said that the provincial government was taking timely and effective steps to prevent the virus spread in province. It was the responsibility of the government to protect the lives and property of the people and that would be ensured in all circumstances, Raja added.
