  • Passengers for domestic and international flights would only be allowed entry into the airport after confirmation of there tickets.
  • The development comes after more than 50 new cases of the mysterious virus emerged in Pakistan on Monday, as the total number of cases reaches to more than 90.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Pakistan on Monday has barred the entry of visitors at all airports, in order to curb the spread of novel coronavirus.

"Aviation Division has directed CAA to take immediate action to restrict the entrance of meeters and greeters inside airports and they should be stopped at the outer perimeter of the airports," informed CAA in a statement.

As per details, only one person can enter the airport to pick the passenger and would need to be seated at the airport's parking area. Whereas, passengers for domestic and international flights would only be allowed entry into the airport after confirmation of there tickets.

The development comes after more than 50 new cases of the mysterious virus emerged in Pakistan on Monday, as the total number of cases reaches to more than 90.

Earlier, Senator Murtaza Wahab announced that 50 people who had arrived in Sukkur from Taftaan have tested positive. He further said the total number of cases in Sindh have reached 76. Of these new positive cases, 25 are from Karachi, one is from Hyderabad and 50 are from Taftan, Iran. Two people have recovered and 74 are under treatment, the Sindh government spokesperson added.
