Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday rejected Sindh government's "move to create more districts on ethnic grounds".

"The PPP government is hatching a conspiracy to divide Sindh," Kamal said at a press conference at his party's head office, the Pakistan House. President of the party, Anis Qaimkhani, was also present at the press conference.

"The provincial government's style of politics is tantamount to dividing Karachi, the provincial capital. This will serve the cause of the anti-Sindh forces. PSP will not let anyone sow hatred among Sindhis. In order to keep Sindh intact, it is crucial to keep Karachi intact as one unit," he said.

If more districts were needed to be created in accordance with the size of the population in the metropolis, they should be created in the most populous districts in the city, central, east and Korangi districts, he said.

"If the PPP wants to gain popularity in Karachi, it should serve the people and win their hearts, rather than being bent upon conquering the land," said Syed Mustafa Kamal.

He said that there should be no politics on the coronavirus and appreciated CM of Sindh for taking precautionary steps to protect the people from the deadly global pandemic.

Kamal extended his party's support to the provincial authorities in all of its activities to protect the people from the virus.

He said the government should provide alternative shelter and financial aid to the victims of the multi-story building collapse in Gulbahar area. The heirs of those who died in the tragedy should also be financially supported.

The government should come up with a comprehensive plan to permanently stop illegal construction in the city, he said.
