No accused be admitted without screening of virus test: SHC asks IGP prison
Chief Justice of Sindh High Court on Tuesday directed Inspector General Prison, Sindh that any accused remanded on judicial custody should not be admitted without proper screening/test of Coronavirus.
The CJ issued directives to Inspector General Prison, Sindh with the instructions to comply with the orders in letter and spirit that no inmate is admitted in prison without proper screening and submit such report with the court.
The SHC also issued directives for the employees of the court for adopting precautionary measures for pandemic Coronavirus.
Directives stated that if any family member of the court employees at principal seat, Karachi, bench at Sukhur, circuit courts at Hyderabad and Larkana is infected by Coronavirus shall not attend duty and immediately send intimation to office so that necessary measures for their treatment should be taken.
All employees shall ensure use of sanitizer, hand gloves and face masks regularly, the SHC ordered and directed Budget Branch of the court to arrange sanitizer, face masks and hand gloves and provide the same to employees.
