Clean-up operation of general bus stand begins

Washing operation of General Bus Stand has begun in connection with precautionary measures to control coronavirus. Assistant Commissioner Sadar Umar Maqbool and Secretary RTA Zameer Hussain oversaw the campaign. Assistant Administrator Rana Habibullah and other officers were also present. During the operation, general bus stand bays, footpaths and other parts of the area were thoroughly cleaned. On this occasion, a washing booth was also set up to wash the hands of citizens and passengers, while the Assistant Commissioner distributed face mask among citizens. He said the purpose of cleaning passenger transport was to provide a clean environment and provide a pleasant environment for travellers and also eliminating potential concerns of the coronavirus.
He urged the management of bus stands to continue monitoring the clean-up operation and that no part of the public transport should remain clean and washed.
