  • The T20 tournament has been delayed by April 15 due to coronavirus outbreak.
  • The Australian opener is part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad for last six seasons.

Opener David Warner is expected to ignore Australia travel ban to take part in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is delayed by April 15.

Warner’s manager James Erskine confirmed to The Age that the left-hander, who is signed up with IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad, will defy travel ban if the T20 tournament go ahead.

"If the IPL is on David Warner's planning on going," Erskine told The Age. "If things change dramatically, which can happen in the space of an hour, the answer is you change your mind. It's no different to everybody else."

The 33-year-old signed Sunrisers for $2.5 million six years ago.

Coronavirus, a global pandemic has forced the league to be pushed back until at least April 15.

Australia Prime Minister Scott Morrison has enforced a level four travel ban, closing borders to visitors and advising all citizens to abandon overseas excursions.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has admitted that the IPL will be reduced and revised after it was pushed back.
