The city police in its ongoing crackdown against the violation of section-144 in the provincial capital have arrested 207 alleged criminals and registered 72 first information reports (FIRs) against them. "We have, so far, arrested 207 people for violation of section-144 and on the charges of selling face masks and hand sanitizers at exorbitant prices in the wake of the coronavirus," Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Rai Babar Saeed told reporters on Friday. He said the City Division Police arrested 68 suspects followed by another 22 in Cantt Division, 40 in Civil Lines Division, 28 in Saddar Division, one in Model Town Division while 33 in Iqbal Town Division for violating section-144.
