Lahore admin sets up helpline
The Lahore administration has set up a helpline number on Whatsapp, an online messaging services, which will provide information relating to corona virus. District Commissioner Lahore Afzal Danish told the media here on Monday that the people may call on 03070002345 to receive all information relating to the virus.
"The staff on this number are operating from the DC Office Lahore and are available all the time," he added. Meanwhile, the administration continued with spraying chlorinated water on the city roads. The DC said that this effort will help in controlling spread of the virus.
"We have also washed the premises of 'Tabeelgi Markaz' at Raiwind with chlorinated water," he added. Moreover, it also continued with its crackdown against overpricing of sanitizers at Tehsil Raiwind.
The administration imposed penalties worth Rs 65,000 on three pharmacies for selling sanitizers at exorbitant rates. In this connection, the DC said that the no tolerance will be shown to profiteers and it will continue on daily basis.
The city administration also visited various mosques to ensure that carpets are removed from praying areas and floors are thoroughly washed. "This measure is a part of the corona virus preventive measures and thus all the assistant commissioners have been directed to ensure its implementation," the DC said.
