PepsiCo launches 'Million of Meals' programme
PepsiCo Pakistan Monday announced launching of 'Million of Meals' programme, an emergency disaster relief package, to meet essential nutrition needs of impacted people all over the country.Through this programme, PepsiCo is partnering with reputed charitable organizations to make millions of meals available to communities nationwide, impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.
As economic activity is decelerated to combat the COVID-19 epidemic, an increasing number of people are faced with loss of income and earning opportunities. The daily wage workers are particularly vulnerable as they face an immediate loss of livelihood. In these circumstances the need for providing meals to underprivileged communities becomes the foremost requirement.
This emergency disaster relief programme is a nationwide programme that is being run with the help of charitable organizations that are active on the ground at the grass root level.
Furqan Ahmed Syed, CEO PepsiCo Pakistan and Afghanistan said that in the face of this unprecedented crisis, PepsiCo will be at the forefront of providing assistance to the most vulnerable. PepsiCo is launching the 'Millions of Meals' programme to meet essential nutrition needs of impacted people across Pakistan.
