Punjab has conducted coronavirus test of 17069 people

• Out of these 16149 have been tested negative, Provincial Health Minister said.

Amid the spike in coronavirus cases in Pakistan, Punjab has conducted the test of  more than 17000 people for the virus.

Provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid took to her Twitter handle on Friday and said that 17069 have been tested so far. Out of these, the minister said, 16149 have been tested negative, while 920 have been confirmed to have the disease.

Positive = 920
Negative = 16,149

The doctor continued that these tests were conducted in Health Department's lab, Nishtar Hospital Multan, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, National Institute of Health and private sector.

Punjab has so far reported 11 deaths due to coronavirus. Meanwhile, total number of cases in Pakistan reached 2450 on Friday.

Total confirmed #COVID19 cases in Punjab are 920. DGK quarantine has 213, Multan 91, Raiwind 142 & Faisalabad has 5 confirmed cases. We have lost 11 precious lives whereas, 5 people recovered.
