PESHAWAR: Rehabilitation work to restore power supply to Hangu and Kalaya areas was in full swing as one power transformer would be dispatched to Kohat Grid Station on Thursday.
According to details fire broke out at 132 KV Kohat Grid Station, due to which one Power Transformer was totally damaged, causing power failure to Hangu & Kalaya.
Chief Executive Pesco has established a task force which is working on emergent basis for installation of another power transformer at 132 kv Kohat grid station for restoration of the electricity to the effected areas. Chairman Board of Directors Pesco Hassam-ud-Din Bangash is taking keen interest in the early restoration of power supply to these areas.
A delegation led by KP Minister Qalb e Hassan and Maulve Abdul Jalil also met the Chief Executive Pesco Abdul Latif Khan here at his office in this regard. The CEO assured them for early restoration of electricity. They extended their full co-operation in this connection.
