Sindh Minister for Information, Local Government, Housing and Town Planning, Religious Affairs, Forest and Wildlife, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, has said that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah was presiding over the meeting of the task force formed to address the situation emerged after the spread of coronavrius on daily basis. The Sindh Minister for Information said that all the relevant experts of health, disaster management and other sectors attended these meetings regularly.
He said that this task force was formed on the day when the first ever case of the coronavirus emerged in the province. In his video message, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that Sindh Chief Minister was taking every decision after consulting frequently with the health and other experts. The Minister said that according to the health experts the number of coronavirus affected people could reach 50,000 in the country by 25th of April, 2020. He said that the federal government's response to control the pandemic was not on time. Speaking about the preventive kits for the doctors, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that all the preventive kits were being handed over to the doctors and other staff of the health facilities as and when received. He said that orders had been placed for more preventive tools for the medical staff engaged in attending coronavirus patients. He said that 12 more people affected by the coronavirus had got completely well. So far, 86 patients had recovered from the coronavirus, he added. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that Chairman Pakistan People's Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has asked the party leadership of the province to cooperate fully with the federal government in this battle against controlling the rapid spread of the coronavirus. The minister, once again, clarified that there was no ban on the movement of goods transport or on the delivery of essential food items. Similar, he said that there was also no ban on the movement of transport from the ports. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that the essential food items were being supplied to the retailers in the markets smoothly on daily basis. He said that all the blames in this regard were baseless and unsubstantiated.
Meanwhile, Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah had requested the members of overseas team of volunteers' doctors to contribute and assist the Sindh government in its efforts to control the spread of Coronavirus. Provincial Minister for Information said that the Sindh government was striving to control the spread of Coronovrius and everyone especially the welfare organizations were assisting the government generously in this fight against the pandemic. He said this while talking to a delegation of oversees doctors' volunteer team who called on him at Ali House on Sunday. The members of the delegation while expressing their appreciation about the efforts of the Sindh government in its fights against the pandemic presented 150 preventive kits for the doctors and paramedics attending the patients of Coronavirus. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah while expressing his gratitude told the members of the delegation that role of the welfare organizations and the organization like oversees doctors' volunteer team in this fights against the pandemic was commendable indeed. Provincial Minister for Information told the delegation about the measures which had been adopted so far by the Sindh government to keep its people safe from getting affected by the Coronavirus. He said that it was owing to the efforts of the Sindh government that the Sindh province comparatively remained a safe place and the spread of the virus was in control. -PR
