Towel exports up by 1.45 percent in July-Feb 2019-20

Pakistan's export of towels grew to $524.207 million during July-Feb 2019-20, up by 1.45 percent, official figures say. Export of towels was $516.695 million during July-Feb 2018-19, which is less by $7.512 million comparing to July-Feb 2019-20 period of the current fiscal year, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics shows.
Volume of the country's towels export went up by 6.26 percent or 7565 metric tons to 128,419 metric tons during July-Feb 2019-20 from 120,854 metric tons during July-Feb 2018-19.
In Feb 2020, towels export posted a rise of 13.20 percent or $9.274 million to $79.520 million from $70.246 million in Feb 2019. Towels export quantity soared by 12 percent or 1852 metric tons to 17,514 metric tons in Feb 2020 from 15,662 metric tons in Feb 2019.
