Manchester United star midfielder Bruno Fernandes has taken on Cristiano Ronaldo’s 45 seconds ab crunch challenge.

Portugal legend launched his Living Room Cup on April 5 after he released a video of himself doing 142 crunches in just 45 seconds.

Responding to five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Fernandes managed 117 crunches, which were 25 less then Ronaldo.

He wrote: "#NikeLivingRoomCup - Week One. 117 Abs in 45 seconds. Not bad for a Sunday. Thanks for the challenge @Cristiano @nike @nikefootball Challenge: @jorgejesus @francisobikwelu @martial_9 @carloschainho @cesartmourao @madjer_official."

After making a move to Manchester United from Sporting CP in January, the 25-year-old already made an impression on the fans at Old Trafford. But if his effort is anything to go by then no one will be getting close to Ronaldo's record.

Fernandes' former manager at Sporting, who is now 65, was also tagged to give the challenge a go.
