Coronavirus cases cross 2,004 mark across Punjab
With 86 new cases reported in Punjab; the total number of coronavirus cases in the province has crossed the mark of 2,004 including 294 in Lahore.
So far, the novel coronavirus has reported in 28 districts of the `province. Out of total confirmed cases, 726 patients were Zaireen being kept at quarantine centres, 539 were associated with Raiwind and the Tableeghi Markaz, 49 cases had been detected in prisoners, while the remaining 690 cases had been detected in citizens across the province.
In camp jail Lahore, a 100-bed quarantine facility has been set up where coronavirus positive patients are being kept. In Lahore, over 130 coronavirus positive patients are under treatment at Mayo-Hospital. So far, nine patients have been discharged from the hospital after being recovered from the coronavirus, an official of the hospital said.
Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid in a meeting with doctors at Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) announced to designate Lahore's Ganga Ram hospital for pregnant women diagnosed with coronavirus.
