MoI&P: Dawood's nameplate removed
After Abdul Razak Dawood, Prime Minister's Advisor, was replaced by Hammad Azhar his nameplate has been removed and the new nameplate will be in place in a day or two, sources told Business Recorder.
Insiders in the Ministry of Industries and Production maintain that Secretary Industries and Production was under severe pressure on multifarious issues and held an opinion at variance with Dawood.
Dawood's detractors allege that the MoI&P under him took recommendations in the past which were "violative" of rules of business, an example being the recommendation on sugar export.
They also claim that the Karachi-based group of businessmen began to have a big say in decisions and policies of both the MoI&P and MoC but with the coming of Hammad Azhar, this trend will now change.
