Operationalistion of Greenline BRTS project: Rs 5.316 billion to be arranged from foreign resources
The government will arrange Rs5.316 billion from foreign resources for "Operationalistion of Greenline BRTS & Installation of Integrated Intelligent Transport System Equipment" project.
According to modified PC-I of the project, the project has been approved at the total cost of Rs10.956 billion, in which the federal government would contribute Rs5.639 billion and the rest would be arranged from the foreign resources.
The modified PC-1 of the project envisages procurement of two major components i.e Buses and Integrated Intelligent Transport System (IITS) as enlisted.
The project was considered by the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) in its meeting held on 25th September, 2019 at the cost of Rs 10.956 billion and the CDWP and recommended the project to ECNEC and directed the Sponsoring Agency Sindh Infrastructure Development Company Limited (SIDCL) to submit modified PC-1 with complete financial and operational models.
The SIDCL in response of the Pre-CDWP meeting submitted an updated modified PCI on 3rd February, 2020 at the same cost of Rs 10.956 billion and the project was approved in March this year.
