THE RUPEE: Upward trend

The rupee maintained overnight level against the dollar on Saturday in the process of trading activity, dealers said.

OPEN MARKET RATES: The rupee did not move any side against the dollar for buying and selling Rs 166.00 and Rs 166.50 respectively, they said. The national currency was available versus the euro for buying and selling at Rs 176.00, they said.

The financial markets were closed at the week-end for Good Friday and Easter holidays.
